"The Prison" written by Bernard Malamud, was about a man called Tommy Castelli who was obliged to work in a candy shop and to marry a woman that he does not love. In this essay the themes, which are "Life as prision" and "Hope for a change", will be analysed. The theme was "Life as prision" because althougt he did not go to prision, his life become one. Tommy feels that his life was like a prision because he married with a woman he did not love and he work in a job that he did not choose. Hace poco tiempo en las profundidades del océano central, había un lugar llamado Escarpia, era un lugar secreto con las mismas características que la tierra pero donde los humanos no podían llegar. En ese lugar se encontraba una sirena llamada Ara, ella era amable y buena, pero sobre todo tenía la cola mas linda del lugar porque era de oro. Un dia Ara se encontraba nadando por la puerta de Abercrombie & fitch para comprar la ropa de la nueva temporada, Ara estaba por entrar al local cuando se cruza con los dos seres más buscados de toda Escarpia: Dragonite ( podía volar y nadar) y Peztonite (un pez de 100 cabezas). Dragonite y Peztonite eran hermanos mellizos.
